The below quotations are not the full responses from the candidate. For full answers, refer to the above video.

Tell me a little about yourself.

A: I’m from Rock Hill. I am a 1984 graduate of Rock Hill High School. In 1985 I enlisted in the Marine Corps. So with that being said, I am a recently transitioned Marine Corps officer with 32 years of professional service.

Q: What are your strengths?

A: A lot of people like to talk about their strengths as being very organized or energetic, obviously I am all of those, but I would like to refer to one of my largest strengths as being flexible. Change happens, unforeseen circumstances happen so if you are not flexible when those last minute changes happen, the project or the task that you're doing is just not going to be completed in an organized matter.

One of the other things I would like to touch on other than flexibility is being able to professionally influence others. As I said with change, as change happens, you've got to be able to influence others in order to make sure you're able to complete that change or find that correct course of action to address that change.

Q: Have you ever faced a challenge in the workplace ?

A: instead of going in and just demanding something, where agreements were made and I would have been in my right to do that, agreements were made by very senior individuals for me to take those accounts. I felt that it was best because I still had to work with those people and not to cause any undue friction and to let things unfold as they should and those ended up being some of my best teammates that I worked alongside with.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A: In 5 years, I see myself in a senior management position. I say a senior management position ... where it is with an employer that I can still use the skills that I have mastered in my 32 year career.
